Southern Oaks Realty is a locally owned brokerage based in New Hill, North Carolina, led by Justen and Leslie Fetzer. We help clients buy homes, sell property, explore land, evaluate investments, manage rentals.
Our backgrounds in education and law enforcement shaped how we work: listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, explain the details, follow through. We bring that approach to every property and every conversation.
Justen Fetzer
CO-OWNER · BROKER-IN-CHARGE
With over a decade in real estate and more than 15 years of prior service as a police officer, Justen brings dedication, integrity, and a hands-on approach to his work. As co-owner and Broker-in-Charge of Southern Oaks Realty, he specializes in land sales and leads the Property Management Division.
Justen grew up on a 250-acre Christmas tree farm, giving him a practical understanding of land, its value, and its potential. He helps landowners, buyers, and investors investigate a property’s possibilities and navigate the details of ownership.
Outside of real estate, Justen enjoys time with his family, camping in their Airstream, and tackling projects with his sawmill. Honesty, hard work, and lasting relationships guide his approach to both life and business.
Leslie Fetzer
CO-OWNER · REALTOR
Before co-owning Southern Oaks Realty, Leslie spent more than 17 years in education, teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Forensic Science before moving into administrative roles. Her dedication earned her recognition as National Online Teacher of the Year.
Leslie specializes in residential sales and short-term rental management. Her background in education shapes how she serves clients: analyzing information, solving problems, and explaining unfamiliar details in clear, practical terms. She listens closely and looks beyond automated searches to help buyers evaluate homes and investment opportunities.
As a wife and mother of two, Leslie understands how closely real estate decisions connect to everyday life. She brings thoughtful preparation and personal attention to helping clients find a home, sell a property, or plan their next investment.
Scott Truong
BROKER
A North Carolina native, Scott grew up in Carolina Beach and attended Appalachian State University. Alongside his career in cybersecurity risk management in FinTech, he entered real estate to make a direct difference in people’s lives by helping them find a place to call home.
His analytical background brings careful attention to detail and proactive problem-solving to his work with buyers and investors. Scott values trust, transparency, and lasting relationships, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys soccer, pickleball, and exploring local restaurants with his wife and their five-pound Yorkie. He cheers for Manchester City, Charlotte FC, and the NC Courage.
Madison Norris
ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Madison supports the daily operations of Southern Oaks Realty, helping our team stay organized, responsive, focused on the people we serve.
As Administrative Coordinator, she helps keep communication and behind-the-scenes details moving, supporting a smooth experience for our clients and team.
